Throughout this document Blinds by Design to be referred to as ‘BBD’

Our Privacy Policy:

The purpose of this statement is to set out how BBD, collect, use and manage personal information that we may obtain about you.

We take the responsibility of looking after your personal data very seriously and take the utmost care to ensure your data is secure.

Generally, we collect your information whenever you decide to interact with us. This could include when you undertake some of the following scenarios:

    • When you visit one of our showrooms
    • Register on our site using an enquiry form
    • Via direct email to us
    • Via social media channels
    • Placing an order
    • Any other interaction with us when you freely provide your details

The information we collect and how?

We only collect the information when it is necessary to fulfil a service to you. You will be asked to provide certain information such as your contact details. We will store & hold this data. We will use this data to fulfil our agreement with you.

Information we obtain directly from you:

When you place an order online, complete any of our online forms or freely offer your personal information, we need to collect some of the following information to process the orders or forms:

    • First and Last name
    • Email address
    • Delivery address
    • Billing address
    • Phone numbers

We may use information that you provide or that is obtained by us to contact you via:

    • Email
    • Telephone
    • SMS text message and other electronic messages such as picture messaging
    • Post


Payment details for purchases:

We do not store any payment card details on our website. All payments are directly processed by the Merchant Bank or PayPal.

 

How do we use your information:

BBD cares about your privacy, we will never share, sell, rent or trade your personal identifiable information to any third parties without your prior consent.

Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of people who have special access rights to such systems.

It is sometimes necessary for us to allow external parties access to your data in order to perform services on our behalf. We make sure anyone who provides a service for ‘BBD’ enters into an agreement with us and meets our standards for data security. They will not use your data for anything other than the clearly defined purpose relating to the service that they are providing.

 

We may share your details:

Service providers who work on behalf of ‘BBD’ for the performance of any contract we enter into with them or you, for example payment processing, courier and mail delivery providers, marketing agencies, website hosting or email delivery service. The details we share with our service providers is solely for the benefit of the service ‘BBD’ provide to you, and will not be used for any other purpose.

Despite all our precautions, no data transmission over the internet is 100% secure. So, we cannot guarantee the security of any information which you disclose to us and so wish to draw your attention to the fact that you do so at your own risk as with any online service.

 

Using your details for marketing purposes:

From time to time, we may use your email details to contact you with news and information in respect to our products and services. You can at any time change or stop these forms of correspondence either by opting out of correspondence or by contacting us in writing to our normal business address.

 

Changes to our policy:

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page. We may also inform you of any changes where we hold an appropriate email address for you.

 

Changes to your personal details:

If you are concerned that any of the information we hold on you is incorrect please contact us at one of our showrooms. Alternatively if you have any questions about how we collect, keep and use your personal data please contact us.

You have the right to request information about the details we hold about you at any time, and if necessary ask us to delete the information if you request us to do so. This request must be in writing and sent to our normal business mailing address, please. We will respond to you within 28 days (as defined in the Data Protection Act).

This policy replaces all previous versions and is correct as of 18th May 2018. We reserve the right to change this policy at any time and will keep it up to date
